Who we're looking for: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team at DFI Rentals. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our equipment inventory, ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our filmmaking clients.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical, hands-on industry experience
Previous experience as a quality control technician, assistant camera position, or similar role, preferably in the film or film equipment rental industry
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with major cinema camera systems including ARRI, RED, Sony, and Canon.
Experience and understanding of professional cinema lenses and other premium optics
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
Exemplary technical knowledge of film production equipment
Must be in good physical condition; able to lift and carry around 50 lbs
Computer proficiency skills
The Role:
Schedule: Part-time (2 days a week) - 8-hour shift, 9am-5pm, with occasional overtime or call-ins as necessary

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Quality Control Management: Inspect, test, and prepare film equipment upon return to ensure it meets our quality standards
Equipment Processing: Assist in properly checking in and checking out equipment in a detailed, thorough, and timely manner
Technical Assessment: Perform applicable technical and physical tests on rental equipment, including camera bodies, lenses, and accessories
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory organization and maintain accurate records of equipment status
Damage Assessment: Highlight and document missing or damaged equipment from orders
Package Preparation: Assist in checking out and prepping camera packages and other rental equipment
Customer Service: Provide clients with exceptional customer service and technical support
Facility Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and organized facility
Technical Support: Troubleshoot and assist with basic repairs of professional camera, lighting, sound, and grip equipment
Additional Duties: Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs
Compensation:
DFI Rentals offers a competitive base salary in the range of $18/h-$24/h, with variation depending on experience
Total compensation package will include base hourly rate, quarterly bonuses awarded based on performance, and paid time off

This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations of our rental equipment workflow, from order processing to equipment preparation and delivery coordination. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the film industry and strong organizational skills to maintain our high standards of service.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in film production, logistics, or related field
1-2 years of experience in film equipment rental houses, production, or similar role
Demonstrated knowledge of professional cinema equipment, including cameras, lenses, and accessories
Advanced technical understanding of camera systems, cinema lenses, and lighting grip equipment.
Strong inventory management and organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure
Outstanding communication skills and customer service orientation
Proficiency in inventory management software.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Valid driver's license and personal vehicle to travel to work

Order Processing: Process and coordinate rental orders from initial booking to final return, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documentation
Equipment Preparation: Assist in preparing and staging rental orders, including basic testing and verification of equipment functionality
Check-in/Check-out Management: Oversee the check-in and check-out process for all rental equipment, maintaining detailed records of equipment condition
Customer Interface: Act as a point of contact for clients during equipment pickup and return, providing excellent customer service
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in tracking equipment location and availability
Quality Assurance: Perform equipment checks to ensure all items are in proper working condition before release and after rental
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with delivery drivers and shipping partners for equipment transportation when needed
Facility Organization: Help maintain an organized and efficient workspace environment
Team Collaboration: Work closely with technical staff, sales team, and other staff members to ensure smooth operations
Basic Technical Support: Assist with basic troubleshooting and equipment prep under guidance of technical staff
Compensation:
DFI Rentals offers a competitive base salary in the range of $32,640-$39,400, with variation depending on experience and qualifications

Who we're looking for:
We are seeking a Full Stack Web Developer based in Los Angeles to join our dynamic team at DFI Rentals. This project-based role is essential in developing and optimizing our web-based systems, ensuring seamless integration with various applications and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in web development, experience with cloud services, and a keen interest in API integrations.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proficiency in JavaScript, with experience in frameworks such as Node.js or React.
Experience with AWS services, particularly AWS Amplify, AWS Lambda, and AWS API Gateway.
Strong understanding of HTML and CSS for developing responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.
Experience with database design and management, including SQL databases.
Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
Experience with automation tools like Zapier is a plus.
