Bausch & Lomb Super Baltar Lenses
Vintage Lenses | PL | FF*
The Bausch & Lomb Super Baltar is an iconic set of vintage primes originally released in the early 1960s as the successor of the optically inferior original Bauch & Lomb Baltar.
As a staple in 60s and 70s Hollywood, the B&L Super Baltar solidified its status after imaging films such as The Godfather Part 1 &2 (1972/74) c. Gordon Willis, ASC, Carrie (1976) c. Mario Tosi, ASC; TV shows such as the original Star Trek (1966-1969) c. Gerald Perry Finnerman, ASC, and Cheers (1982-1993).
This set of B&L Super Baltar primes provide a full frame coverage over the Alexa Mini LF at OG 4:3.* Robustly rehoused by German lens service company P+S Technik, these Super Baltar primes offer a 350-degree focus throw and a uniform front diameter among other modern upgrades to ensure the compatibility with modern workflow while maintaining the vintage image quality.
